Rocio Millan is Deputy Director and responsible for all Smart Metering and Meter field works at ENDESA RED in Spain. Currently she is in charge of the development and deployment of an Automated Metering Management System in Endesa for more than 11 million customers, and manages more than 2.5 million metering field works per year, comprising the whole range of metering technologies (including telemetering in high voltage hourly meters).
She holds a Degree in Economics and Business Administration and a PhD in Finance, both from the University of Seville (Spain), where she has worked in teaching and researching for more than 10 years before working in other energy companies with economic control and general management responsibilities. She joined Endesa Red in 1999 as Head of Non Technical Losses , becoming Deputy Director for Metering field works in 2001, and assuming the management of the Automated Metering Project now in course at Endesa in 2008.
Mrs. Rocio Millan has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors in the Meters & More AISBL association.
