Member Benefits

Meters and More Association makes all the documentation concerning its communication protocol freely and openly available to any interested entity which joins the Association.

The members could apply to the Association in accordance with 2 levels of membership categories: Full Members and Associated Members.

Candidates for membership will submit their applications in writing to the Board of Directors. Admission to the Association requires a decision of the General Meeting.

The Board of Directors can request additional information at any time in order to decide on an application. The application form and any related formalities will be published on the Association’s website.

Admission shall only become effective after execution of the accession agreement as determined by the Board of Directors and payment of the annual membership fee.

A Member can resign from the Association at any time by sending a registered letter to the chairperson of the Board of Directors. The resignation shall be effective upon receipt of the letter by the chairperson of the Board of Directors.

Full members

The Full Members have the possibility to take an active role in the association activities, have voting rights in the General Assembly and can propose their candidates to the Board of Directors. Three categories of full members are defined on the basis of the annual membership fee they choose to pay. Based on the annual membership fee they pay, they will belong to a specific category (being either (i) Category 1 Full Members; (ii) Category 2 Full Members or (iii) Category 3 Full Members) and will thus be attributed a certain number of votes in the General Meeting.

Here below, the annual membership fees for the first year of membership established by the Board of Directors

  • Full Members
  • Category 1 Full Member: EUR 45.000
  • Category 2 Full Member: EUR 30.000
  • Category 3 Full Member: EUR 15.000

– The Full Members which belong to Category 1 Full Members shall each be entitled to 3 votes.

– The Full Members which belong to Category 2 Full Members shall each be entitled to 2 votes.

– The Full Members which belong to Category 3 Full Members shall each be entitled to 1 vote.

Associated members

In addition to the Full Members, third parties can be admitted as Associated Members. Associated Members have access to the protocol specifications and obtain free licence for the use of the protocol, just like the Full Members. They can attend the General Meetings but do not have voting rights. The Association can involve the Associated Members in its activities. The Board of Directors shall define the rights and obligations of Associated Members, which may not contradict the Articles of Association.

Here below, the annual membership fees for the first year of membership established by the Board of Directors

  • Associated Member
  • for non-profit entities, governmental organisations and educational institutions: EUR 1.000
  • for other entities: EUR 2.000

– Associated Members have no voting rights in the General Meeting.
